About Me

I am often described as a warm, empathetic, trustworthy person and I hope that you will feel safe to explore your inner thoughts and feelings in complete confidence.

Like many counsellors, I have come to psychotherapy as a second career.  Having worked for many years in large global businesses and more recently in Leadership Consulting, I understand how to support clients who are navigating intense careers alongside personal challenges.

I transitioned to the counselling profession to support people through their most difficult moments - personal as well as professional. I want to help at times when a deeper level of care is needed, beyond what coaching can offer.

In this work, I am continually inspired by the process of change. The opportunity to reflect and understand can be transformative.

Seeing someone discover themselves, gain confidence, find calm or simply breathe more easily is what motivates me in my practice.

My way of working

Change can feel difficult. Even when you try hard, joy and contentment can still feel out of reach.

I use a predominantly psychodynamic approach to help you make sense of what you’re feeling and to embrace new ways of being. Working psychodynamically means exploring how past experiences - often outside of our conscious awareness - may be shaping how we think, feel and relate to others today.

This way of working helps you to understand the deeper emotional patterns which might be repeating in your current relationships, internal conflicts or self-perception and how they can be worked through in a safe and supportive environment.

Psychodynamic therapy is a collaborative process. It’s not about quick fixes or advice but about creating a space in your life where you can speak freely and build insight. With time and reflection, this leads to greater self-awareness, emotional resilience and lasting change.
